Are WellnessMats Eco-Friendly?
Yes, our mats have a greater life expectancy, keeping WellnessMats out of landfills and thus contributing to a greener environment. After its minimum 20-year life expectancy, WellnessMats can be recycled. Additionally, thanks to our Recycle & Renew program, any WellnessMat can be sent to us to be recycled. This process eliminates waste and helps provide for a stronger, more sustainable future.
Are WellnessMats Safe and Non-Toxic?
Yes. WellnessMats 100% polyurethane does not contain PVCs or BPAs and has been rigorously tested and proven to be safe. WellnessMats are also latex and odor free.
Are WellnessMats Safe for Radiant Floors?
Yes. WellnessMats are flame resistant, will never ignite, and have a melting point of 400˚F, making them safe for radiant flooring systems. We have passed CFR 1630/1631 Standard for the Surface Flammability of Carpets and Rugs.
Can I Cut WellnessMats to Fit Custom Spaces?
Yes, you can cut WellnessMats without compromising the properties of your mat or voiding the warranty. With our unique one-piece construction, WellnessMats will never separate or delaminate when cut.
Can I Order Customized Mats?
Customized mats are a great option for customers who want a larger size WellnessMat. If you do not see the preferred size listed, go to our custom mats page to create a custom mat.
What Are Puzzle Mat Adhesive Strips?

Do WellnessMats Have an Odor?
The polyurethane construction of WellnessMats will not produce “off-gassing,” unlike rubber, vinyl, and biodegradable foam mats.
How Do You Clean WellnessMats?
Our mats require little to no special care. You can spot clean, sweep, stick vacuum (non-brush rolled), or mop as needed. Most spills can be easily cleaned with a towel. For more difficult stains, clean with mild soap and water. Read more about care and maintenance here.
How Do You Justify the Cost of a WellnessMat?
WellnessMats are made of 100% polyurethane, which is a petroleum-based product. They are a molded one-piece construction mat, so the costs of producing them are higher than less-expensive, multi-layered or glued-together mats. How Thick Are WellnessMats?
WellnessMats are 3/4" thick, which is 50% thicker than many other premium mats. FitnessMats are 5/8" thick.
What Are WellnessMats Made Of?
All WellnessMats are made with our APT – Advanced Polyurethane Technology. Polyurethane offers the best support and comfort every time you stand on one, providing exceptional value over time and making them environmentally friendly.
What Does Anti-Microbial Mean?
Anti-microbial means the material inhibits growth of microorganisms. Many mats use coating additives that wear off. WellnessMats meet ASTM G21 standards by design, inherent in the material formulation without additives.
Where Can WellnessMats Be Used?
WellnessMats can be used anywhere you stand — kitchen, vanity, grill, garage, fitness, or workplace. They are also found in commercial and industrial environments.
Will WellnessMats Stain My Floor?
The bottom of WellnessMats is free of paints and coatings that cause staining. The pigment is injected into the polyurethane. However, some linoleum or non-urethane sealers may discolor over time due to oxidation. Contact your floor installer if concerned.
How Long Has the Company Been in Business?
WellnessMats originated in commercial flooring in 1996 and entered the home market in 2007.
What Certifications and Endorsements Do You Have?
WellnessMats are certified by the NFSI, endorsed by the ACA, and accepted by the APMA.
What If I Have a Defective Mat and Need to Make a Warranty Claim?
Visit our Warranty Page and submit a claim with photos and proof of purchase. Approved claims are replaced per policy.
