How To Care For Your WellnessMat

Designed to provide comfort and well-being, WellnessMats require little to no special care. Most spills can easily be cleaned with warm water and a towel or mop. For more difficult stains, mild soap and water are recommended. Our mats can be spot cleaned, swept, or stick vacuumed (non-brush rolled) as needed. WellnessMats recommends that you always test our products with any chemicals to be used. A free test sample is available upon request.

Product Overview and Guidelines

  • With over 20 years of experience producing polyurethane products, WellnessMats are manufactured with the highest standards possible. Many of the collections feature our exclusive "Dye Wash" finishes or custom surface applications. Each of the dyed mats are hand washed, which makes no two mats exactly the same. While very similar, a slight variance between mats using the same dye may occur. With normal wear, finishes and/or surface applications may fade over time and are not covered under the Performance Warranty.
  • WellnessMats are sealed on both top and bottom, making them water resistant. With normal wear, mats containing custom surface applications may fade, wear or peel over time and are not covered under the Performance Warranty. It is important that care is taken to ensure a floor is completely dry before a WellnessMat is put in place.
  • To help prevent mat movement, periodically clean the bottom of your WellnessMat.
  • Any floor cover may create color differentials to the floor when exposed to elements such as sunlight, humidity, and other environmental conditions. To help prevent any floor color variances, it is recommended that you lift and clean under your WellnessMat every two weeks. Although extremely rare, our company research has discovered that some types of flooring that contain raw materials such as linseed oil may have a tendency to slightly discolor when covered. Similar results may occur with floors that may be sealed with non-urethane based sealers. WellnessMats, LLC is not responsible for any reaction between our products and floors. It is our recommendation that customers contact their floor supplier to learn more about their finish, or request a sample mat for testing.
  • Wearing small heeled shoes on WellnessMats is discouraged, and while unusual, may leave indentation marks or punctures.

Part of what makes WellnessMats unique is the handcrafted care that goes into our products. Many of our Premium Standing Solutions are MADE TO ORDER using our exclusive dye-wash, hand wiped finishes to ensure a beautiful end product. This usually results in taking a couple of extra days to ship. Believe us – they are worth the wait!

Products shipping to Continental US locations typically follow the below timelines: NOTE: These time frames have been extended due to reduced staffing and production related to COVID-19. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but will work to ensure your order is processed as fast as possible.

Quick Ship Mats: All mats with the Quick Ship icon typically leave our manufacturing facility within 7 business days once the order is processed. (Temporarily extended due to reduced production capabilities)

Non-Quick Ship Mats:

Original, and Granite: 7 business days

  • PetMats and FitnessMats: 21 business days
  • Croc, Linen, Leather, Bella, Trellis, Signature, and Semi-Sunburst Collections: 21 business days (These collections feature our exclusive “Dye Wash” finishes, adding additional time to the production process)
  • Puzzle Piece, Signature Exclusives, and Custom Standing Solutions: 21 business days
  • We are currently unable to offer concrete processing times due to reduced hours and staffing caused by circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus.
  • We will continue to produce all orders as fast as possible while maintaining our high standards of quality.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: If your order contains both Quick Ship and non-Quick Ship items, your order will be shipped based on the longest lead time.

    Customer satisfaction is very important to us. To expedite the processing of your return please read the below information.

    All returns of WellnessMats must have a return authorization (RA) number. You may request a return authorization number by filling out the form below. When the RA request is received, our customer service department will reply back to you with the information to write on the outside of the box and supply you with the address to send the product back to. All requests will be responded to within 48 business hours from the date of submission.

    • ALL RETURNS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PROOF OF PURCHASE and requested within 30 days of receipt.
    • If the return is due to a defect or shipping error, a UPS shipping label will be provided free of charge.
    • If the return is due to buyer’s remorse all shipping costs associated with the return are the responsibility of the purchaser and a 10% restocking fee will apply per mat.
    • Once the returned mat is processed a refund will be generated.
    • For exchanges, restocking fees will be waived and the replacement order will be processed once the returned mat has been processed.
    • Due to their customized nature, Custom Standing Solutions are ineligible for returns or exchanges. Extended Size options are separate from this and a return authorization may be requested.
    • Puzzle Piece mats with Premium PuzzlePiece Adhesive applied to them will not be available for return or exchange.
    • Mats purchased from our Gently Used Program are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
    • For help to properly roll your WellnessMat for returning, please watch our how-to video here. Any mat returned with creasing or damage due to improper rolling will not be eligible for a full refund.
    • If purchased from a retail location, please contact the place of purchase for their return policy. If you feel you have a warranty related return, please visit our Warranty page to complete a claim request.
